1500 KAPIOLANI
1500 Kapiolani is a 40-story luxury skyscraper currently in the pre-construction phase, located on 1470, 1488 and 1500 Kapiolani Boulevard. It’s a great centralized and urbanized location in the heart of Honolulu. The 400-foot high-rise combines the upcoming street-oriented rail, a four-star hotel and complementary housing that utilizes an extensive open space with gorgeous ocean and mountain views.
This project is being developed by Salem Partners, a leading Los Angeles-based boutique real estate development and investment firm that is also responsible for another tower in the making: the Mana’olana Place on 1695 Kapiolani Boulevard.
1500 Kapiolani will be a mixed-used building, meaning it will combine luxurious residential condominiums, hotel, hip retail stores and restaurants. Conveniently adjacent to Walgreens and right across the street from Walmart and Ala Moana Shopping Center, 1500 Kapiolani has one of the best locations in Oahu in the center of Ala Moana, a neighborhood thriving with a variety of shops, restaurants, businesses, parks and schools.
The architect for the project is [au] Workshop Architects, an award-winning architecture and urban design firm based in Colorado has plans to use a two-tower scheme, with a mauka-makai orientation to preserve view corridors and breeze patterns.

The Neighborhood
While the condo itself will have restaurants and shops in itself, the Ala Moana neighborhood is the very definition of centralized convenience. If you need to run out for a grocery trip, there are stores like Sam’s Club, Walmart, Target, Foodland Farms, Don Quijote, Longs and Palama Market literally right down the street. For more shopping, of course there’s the famous open-air Ala Moana Shopping Center nearby and a weekend or evening dip in the beach is within a quick Biki trip away to Ala Moana Beach Park.
If you work downtown, you can catch the bus which stops frequently along the street and reach your office within 15 minutes. For coffee, smoothies and boba drinks, Starbucks, the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Jamba Juice and Mr. Tea Cafe are just a few choices close by. Plus, many excellent restaurants are all nearby for dinner or lunch. MW Restaurant, Yamaji, Sushi ii, Nobu Honolulu, Piggy Smalls and much more are all within walking distance or a quick five-minute drive via car.
Amenities
The list of amenities for 1500 Kapiolani aren’t out yet for the public, but the condo is slated to include a night club, spa, concierge and a restaurant. There will also be a floor sky deck on the 34th floor with an infinity pool, children’s pool, kids play area and much more.
Views
The towers are situated in a mauka-makai orientation, taking advantage of Hawaii’s mild climate and pleasant breezes. There is also a lush, sky garden platform at 350-feet in the air for residents, providing spectacular ocean and city views.
