400 Keawe 

If you're looking for a project with low maintenance fees, close proximity to boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops, and walking distance to a park look no further than 400 Keawe. Built in 2016 by Castle & Cooke, 400 Keawe is one of the few low-rise condo projects in all of Kakaako. The colorful palette of the project makes it a very memorable building in the "Our Kakaako" neighborhood cookie corner from the SALT shopping complex. 

Amenities

Like I mentioned earlier this is a no frills building with zero amenities. This keeps maintenance fees down for owners in the building. This may not resonate with modern buyers these days that expect pools, gyms, and movie theaters in their building but with all the money you're saving every month you can explore the amazing restaurants in the neighborhood which are all within a couple of minutes walk. 

The Neighborhood

The selling point behind this building is really all about the neighborhood. Sure there are other projects nearby like The Collection and Keauhou Place but those projects are several hundred thousand dollars more than 400 Keawe. SALT is located right across the street, Mother Waldron Park is just around the corner, Down to Earth grocery store just opened a block away, there is so much going on and it's such a vibrant exciting area. 

Features of the Residences

At 400 Keawe you can expect a very contemporary feel to the units. Well built cabinets, backsplashes and Bosch appliances are a common theme in the building. Views will certainly vary from unit to unit with half of the units in the building facing the interior of the project overlooking the parking structure. These units don't provide much in terms of views because on the backside of the project is One Waterfront and you're staring into the backside of their parking structure. 

The front facing units look out toward The Collection and out over 400 Keawe. Keep in mind the large lot across the street from the building on Keawe will eventually be developer so it's a big question mark about what your view will be down the road. If you decide to purchase on The Collection side of the building, what you see is what you get.
